Vijayalakshmi had co-authored two books in English based on her research while she was a scientist at the sugarcane breeding institute which were published by The Indian Central sugarcane committee. These books are used as a reference book worldwide where the sugarcane is cultivated.

Mrs Vijayalakshmi’s short stories were published in Telugu, Tamil & English.
