The trust has been constituted by Dr.V.Ramakrishnan for the memory of his beloved wife Mrs.Vijayalakshmi. He is the Founder Trustee & contributor and the trust is managed by five board members.

Vision

The vision of the founder trustee, Managing Trustee and other trust members is to carry on the trust activities forever.

Mission

The purpose and aim of the formation of the trust is to fulfill the dreams of Mrs.Vijayalakshmi who always cared and helped deserving poor children to pursue their education.

Recent Activities

Since the inception of the trust on April 2017, 452 poor and deserving students, selected from 28 various institutions, have been extended financial assistance to the tune of Rs.37,75,565 (INR Thirty seven lakhs seventy five thousand five hundred and sixty five only) till December 2019 to pay their tuition fees and pursue their education continuously.

In addition, an amount of Rs 74,000/- paid for a free medical clinic run by Kammavar association through Dr.Narayanaswamy, Peelamedu, Coimbatore.

It also has been decided by the trust members to extend and enlarge the scope to assist needier and deserving students in future based on the interest accruals on the deposit and financial capacity of the trust..

During the year 2020, 217 deserving students benefited from 33 Schools.
From the inception of the trust till 31st December 2020, an amount of Rs 44,87,850 (INR Forty four lakh eighty seven thousand eight hundred and fifty only ) has been distributed for deserving students as education aid from the trust.

Book Release


Dr.V.Ramakrishnan founder trustee of Vijayalakshmi Ramakrishnan Charitable trust has authored a book titled “World Wonders Ancient Civilizations & Engineering Marvels“. He shared his travel experience of more than 73 countries.

He tried to instill in the minds of students to have a positive dream, even though it is considered impossible and unattainable and work towards achieving the dream with dedication and devotion.

The book was released on 21 August, 2021 by Dr.E.Balagurusamy, Ex-Vice chancellor, Anna university and former member union public service commission In a well attended colorful function held at Coimbatore.

He dedicated his book to dreamers who dream big seemingly impossible and unattainable dreams.

The complimentary copies will be distributed to the libraries of Schools, Colleges, Universities and interested readers.

VRCT Activities from April 2022


The highlight of the activities is the construction of a beautiful two storey office building with the most modern architectural features. It is named as “VIJAYA RAMA ABODE

A display titled as the “Founder’s Story” is arranged in the ground floor of the building.

The objective of the display (exhibition) is to “inspire the visitors, particularly the younger generation, to have ambitious goals, and incredible dreams and to work hard with dedication to achieve their goals and dreams with self-reliance without seeking favours or using unethical means such as nepotism, bribery and false recommendations.

A brief biography of two extraordinary individuals with different backgrounds and different goals and ambitions and how they have obtained the highest possible achievements in their chosen fields by following the same philosophy for success, namely devoted hard work.

  • During the period April 22 to March 2023 Rs.10, 49, 235 has been given as School students Education Assistance covering 160 students of 28 Schools.
  • With this, more than Rs.83 Lakhs of Rupees have been distributed so far by the Trust.
  • On May-23, Trust extended medical expenses for 5 poor children @ Rs.2000/- per child and total Rs.10,000/- per month, who are suffering from diabetes and needs insulin injections. This is a great help for them.
  • June-23, In order to Co-ordinate the present and future expanded social activities, Founder Trustee Dr. V. Ramakrishnan has appointed Mr. R. Balakrishnan as Co-Ordinator for the Trust from June,2023.
  • 25-06-23, 9th Standard school students from nearby schools visited the Trust Office. They liked the display and expressed joy for having the opportunity to see the display.
  • 08-07-23 Twenty five school students came to the trust office to see the exhibits. They had also the opportunity to meet and talk to the founder trustee Dr. V. Ramakrishnan.
  • 16-07-23, 18 Rank holding students, teachers, parents of the students and office bearers of Government Higher Secondary School, Velliangadu, came to the trust office and visited the display. After seeing the displays, Dr. V. Ramakrishnan interacted with them and shared his experience and achievements and how he reached the highest height of his career. The Team was inspired and motivated. At the end gifts and lunch were arranged for the visitors by the Trust.
  • As per request, on behalf of the Trust, Founder Trustee Dr. V.. Ramakrishnan presented a cheque for Rs.4,00,000/- (Rupees four lakhs only) to the Government Higher Secondary School, Velliangadu to create ball badminton and throw ball play grounds for girl students. This news was published in Dinamani and Dinakaran Tamil News Dailies.
  • 05-09-23, Rs.25,000/- worth of cooking utensils were donated to Primary School, Panapalayam, Karamadai Union to prepare midday meals for the poor students. This contribution was reported in the Tamil daily “Dinakaran”.
  • 03-10-23, As per the request received from Residents Welfare Association and also as a part of Trust’s Social Activity Program of the Eco Friendly Nature, Trust has a proposal to Setup a biodiversity park with all necessary facilities at the reserve site available nearby the Trust Office. A request letter was forwarded to Coimbatore Corporation and awaiting for permission.
  • 18-10-23, Based on the request received from Govt. Primary school, Athikadavu, a Tribal settlement area, we have donated 20 chairs worth of Rs.25000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand only). This news appeared in Dinakaran Tamil Daily.
  • On 30-10-23, With a view to continue Dr V. Ramakrishnan Endowment Lecture every year, a cheque for Rs.3,00,000/- (Rupees Three Lakhs only) was handed over to The Institution of Engineers (India), Coimbatore Local Centre, PSG College of Technology.

On behalf of Dr. V. Ramakrishnan, Mr. R. Balakrishnan, Co- Ordinator, handed over the cheque during their Annual General Body Meeting. The amount would be deposited in a Bank as Corpus Fund and occurred interest will be utilized to meet out the expenses incurred to conduct the Endowment Lecture Every Year.
